- If you have a larger group, Shiny Apple Cabins has THE BEAR'S CREEK RETREAT - waterfront, dog friendly, fenced yard, cabin with hot tub - available for rental about 20 minutes away; receive 10% off the second rental. - PEOPLE: Ensure all guests are accounted for within your reservation; we can accommodate up to 6 people (even if not staying overnight). We DO NOT allow anyone that is not accounted for onto the property, even if they do not plan to stay the night. Unannounced guests will result in a $100 per guest, per night booked AND you will need to vacate immediately. Any resulting plumbing and septic repairs will be the guest's responsibility. - PETS: Up to 3 dogs welcome (no size or breed restrictions). We may accommodate additional dogs on a case-by-case basis, however you will need advance approval. No cats or other pets due to owner allergies. There is a $200 fee for bringing an unannounced pet. Ensure all pet waste is picked up around the cabin and in the community. Failure to do so may result in additional fees to reimburse owners for fines. Cooking oils, grease, fats, food debris, and coffee grounds must go into the trash. Use paper towels (provided) to absorb and wipe items clear. *** Drain screens - There are drain screens in the kitchen and bathrooms to prevent hair, food, and other items from going down the drains; these must be used at all times.*** - TRASH: ***All trash and poop bags must be BAGGED and TIED in kitchen-sized 13 gallon bags, then placed in the outdoor bear-resistant trash bins. The trash company removes each bag individually; no dump truck. Trash is collected Tuesdays and Fridays.*** - HOT TUB: The hot tub is emptied between every reservation, therefore the water may not be hot upon your arrival. It was perfect for my husband and our three dogs. It's as described, but better than I expected. This was the most pet friendly rental we've ever had. They have tons of supplies for your dogs and the basement "play room" with beds and areas to hang out with the dogs was an added bonus. The cabin is high up and has incredible views, from multiple rooms. There was an amazing sunset over the mountains on our second night. If you're looking to go to the mountains with your dogs, this is your place. Also, I couldn't tell this from the initial photos, but the fence has boards and a backing that dogs can't fit through or under. I have a small dog that I was afraid I'd have to keep on a leash, but the fence was more than adequate!

My husband and I booked Sum Fun for our baby moon/2nd anniversary and it was exactly what we had envisioned for our getaway from Tampa! Quiet, relaxing, peaceful, space for our 3 pups, and a beautiful mountain view. We enjoyed that it was super clean AND super dog friendly - no dog smell or strong fragrance to mask anything (sensitive to smells right now being pregnant lol). We enjoyed the games downstairs together, sitting out on the porch, and visiting all the shops downtown. We appreciated how responsive and accommodating the hosts were and would love to come back! We highly recommend Mountain Mama’s Coffee, Las 2 Huastecas, The Sweet Shoppe, Rum Cake Lady Cuban Cafe, Southern Charm, 3 Sisters Fudge, and The Falls at Blue Ridge for fancy night out. Also for things to do, we enjoyed the private dog park for our pups and Cohutta Mini Golf.

The cabin was spectacular. Elizabeth was super responsive and would answer questions almost immediately sometimes. She was kind enough to let us check in early without having to pay extra since the weather was bad. She had everything you or your dogs could possibly need in the cabin. Spotless, clean everywhere and super organized with every cabinet labeled.! well I could say more but, I’m sure you get the picture! 😁

The cabin was very easy to find and had lots of amazing views while driving up. The view from the cabin was absolutely breathtaking and is very close to downtown Blue Ridge. My chiweenie also loved her stay and felt very included. We painted a rock for her which was so cute. Everything was wonderful from the views to the walking trail. The cabin itself was beautiful and in immaculate condition. There are so many fun things to do at that cabin that we decided to stay at the cabin one day and play games and enjoy the outside fire pit. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone planning to stay in the area. It is absolutely amazing and the host is wonderful, accommodating, and very responsive. The photos in this listing are extremely accurate and even more beautiful in person.

"Sum Fun" gives doggie owners the freedom to relax and enjoy an incredible view of clouds and mist rolling over Cashes Valley and DoubleKnob like Folgers in your cup. Play the music and sip it up. All dogs that stay will have a blast, and the host's did an outstanding job with how the cabin is themed. Awesome library of books for all ages and great games in playroom to enjoy.

Stayed just overnight for a small getaway with family. This is a place created by dog owners for dog owners. We had two dogs who ran around the fenced backyard and on the deck who enjoyed the views just as much as we did! Very responsive host, we arrived 20 minutes prior to check in and they accommodated us effectively. My family has already started looking at future dates in the spring time to come back to this specific cabin again for an extended stay. 100% recommend a million times over!

There are 2 possible routes: (i) an all-paved road from JoAnn Sisson entrance off of Hwy 515 or (ii) a predominantly paved road, except for a ¼ mile packed-gravel road when entering from Maggie Chapman.
