We had an amazing stay! The welcome snacks, s’mores kit, and pancake mix with syrup were such thoughtful touches — exactly what we needed after a long drive. We brought our Bernese Mountain Dog and Great Pyrenees, and they loved it here. The fenced yard was perfect — a gentle slope but easy for them to explore. The hosts even provided dog bowls and had covers on the living room couch, which we really appreciated. There’s also a great dog park just up the road at Fish Trap Park where our dogs got to play and meet others. The cabin was super well stocked — lots of blankets, towels, cookware, and even some kitchen basics like spices. We grilled most nights (charcoal was included!) and left some behind for the next guests. Tip for future guests: there’s a second gated entry on Rimcrest that makes getting in and out much quicker than the main entrance. All in all, a great cabin with everything you need — comfortable, quiet, and incredibly pet-friendly. We’d definitely stay here again!

Some places say they cater to pets and families - but this home really does! The loft space is absolutely magical for kids - my ten and seven year old wish they could have brought the room back home with them. Coloring books and crayons. Plastic plates, bowls and utensils for the kids. A few board games. Dog bowls, dog covers on the couches, an amazing fenced yard. Kitchen is well-equipped. Decor and furniture was beautiful, comfortable and inviting. The entire cabin felt peaceful inside and out. Easy access to the park down the road where we spent 6+ hours one afternoon playing in the river and the rope swing into the water. S’mores kit and some pancake mix greeted us :) A great welcome to our vacation. This is one of those properties that looks amazing in photos and looks even better in person. We were a family of four and a dog but plenty of space for more here. All bedrooms and equally beautiful and comfortable. A++ stay. Even the drive in with all the deer is great!

Elisabeth is a great host! She was able to accommodate a special request for our dogs & I was happy I reached out to her before booking. Check-in/Check-out was a breeze. She conacted us at appropriate times, making herself available for any questions, was very accommodating & we instantly felt welcomed to enjoy the property. We arrived to a clean home with everything we needed for a great vacation week. If you don't travel with dogs, you'd never know they were allowed. If you do have dogs, you know it can be hard to find a NICE place that is welcoming. This is it! Easy access to the fenced yard, and easy to contain on the deck. Dancing Bear is a great home for multiple families with lots of space inside & outside! We enjoyed grilling out (table for 8!!) & relaxing on the porch & fire pit areas. The resort area is large with indoor/outdoor pools, parks, and river access- great for kids, teens, & dogs! I highly recommend Dancing Bear & would definitely return!

We had an amazing time at Dancing Bear. For context, it was my wife and I, two daughters (3yr and 1yr), and our dog, and we stayed for a month. The place had everything and more (pack n play, kids dishes, gates, games, etc). The surroundings were beautiful, the park a short walk away, and a place we could spend the whole day and not get bored. We had some amazing family memories here, and would recommend to anyone and everyone!
